After lunch, departure for the discovery of the Palace of Knossos which chronicles the architectural grandeur of the Minoan culture. The palace, which was discovered by the British Arthur Evans, represented the center of a city.
An estimated 80,000 people lived in this palace during the reign of King Minos. Continuation of the road to Rethymnon with a stop in the charming village of Anogia. The specific temperament of its people makes them very different from the rest of the Cretan population. Their dialect, their eating habits, their costumes and customs are unique in Crete and anogia villagers apply to continue this tradition.
